Masterwort (Imperatoria) is famous in the Alps and even more in the Swiss Valais for its tremendous properties. In this area people call it the 'Queen of the Plants'. It was held in high regard in the Middle Ages; used among other applications for its anti-inflammatory, soothing, wound-healing and drainage properties, as well as treatment of fever and rheumatism.
In vitro measurement of the migration of human keratinocytes show the wound healing properties of this extract.
